Epiphany about: music!

I was thinking about what kind of music I liked, and I had an EPIPHANY. My enjoyment of music is PROPORTIONAL to the likelihood of people engaging in SYNCHRONIZED dance to that music!

Bollywood? OMG YES.



Dance / Pop music, OF COURSE. (Incidentally, I am quite taken with the phrase"glamophonic-electronic-disco-baby." Lady Gaga is also apparently "stunning with her loving, glue-gunning." I am not sure what that means, possibly it is a euphemism and I am now embarrassed. However, she is SO SHINY. (I have done some extensive researches, and realized that the line immediately proceeding contains an euphemism but this line is apparently nonsensical. It is also from a different song then the linked video. NOW YOU KNOW.)

Bluegrass country? LINE DANCING, yes! Also, FIDDLES. Who does not like fiddles? or Dolly Parton?

R&B and Hip Hop, YES.

Death metal? Obviously, no. emo-ish goth music is borderline acceptable. They are not so much with the synchronized dancing but SOMETIMES, they are about the FABULOUS outfits, so I will allow it on a technicality.

Rock music throws this all off, though. I do like bands like Garbage, U2 and The Killers, but they are (usually) SADLY lacking in synchronized dance. However, I am taken with the synchronized dance theory, so I am going to ignore anything that does not fit. I think the rule should be understood to say if there IS synchronized dance, then I WILL like it, but if there is not, I may or may not.
....I feel sure a Venn diagram could illustrate this most effectively.


This also applies to MOVIES. I will watch anything in which there is synchronized dance, NO MATTER HOW TERRIBLE IT IS. I have watched Center Stage, Honey, Take The Lead, Step Up, Step Up 2: The Streets (WHAT DOES THAT TITLE EVEN MEAN? Also, they were all TERRIBLE, other than the dance scenes.) And now...now there will be STEP UP 3, and it is going to be...in 3-D!!!! It is possible I will go see this in the theater (I will probably have to go BY MYSELF, and I will be the OLDEST PERSON IN THE THEATER, and it will be shameful, but I don't care), because...SYNCHRONIZED DANCE IN 3-D! I have never seen such a glorious thing before!!! How has Bollywood not done this already? I find it difficult to believe....
