THANK YOU!! I am so impressed you got up at five in the morning to serenade me!! WOW! I actually remember that Muppet skit, and that Peter Cetera video rocks. You should tag this post "glory of love" Peter is very passionate about those two getting together.
Having watched the full Glory of Love video, words escape me. There are TOO MANY things one could say.

The video: I am sure some people at the time learned all they knew about Japanese culture from the video, including a tea ceremony, honor, Yakuza, samurais, honor, demure women, honor, etc.I mean, how many stereotypes can you get in one movie? How do youngster separate the fact from the fiction? HOW?
Why does Peter Cetera look so sentimental? Why is he so invested in this love affair? WHY?
I think despite all the honor and the castle far away, etc., Ralph Machiavelli's (spell check chose that!) character ends up dating another woman upon his return to the states.
Despite these serious charges, the video is most delightful
It is true, this video raises almost as many questions as it answers!!!
For example, what is up with the voyeur enabling house? WHO THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?
Also, Peter Cetera's voice makes it seem like he would be soothing presence, but the video CONTRADICTS THIS. His intense gaze (and overly feathered hair) DISTURBS ME. Possibly also because he is overly invested in young Ralph Machiavelli's(hee) relationship.
This video did not get ALL the stereotypes in...there were NO NINJAS. A sad oversight in the Karate Kid trilogy, I have always felt.
Voyeur enabling house...I wanted to write about it but I could not decide what to call it! I think voyeur enabling house is perfect! WHY, why, would that be a good idea?
You make an excellent point about the lack of ninjas. Perhaps whatever ancient secret karate move young Machiavelli used sufficed, in the minds of the creators of this movie?
somehow, this seems relevant...OMG, if this happens do you think Will Smith will cover Glory of love? MAYBE A DUET WITH PETER CETERA?? I kind of think that would be AWESOME.
